City water systems
If you are on city or community water, ask yourself the following questions:
Do you want filtered water? Soft water? Or both?
If you said “both”, you need our COMBINATION whole house filter and water softening system.
There are two options. One tank or two.
Combination city water systems:

Whole House Filtration or Water Softener?
If you said you want only “filtration” there are two options to consider:
Automatic whole house filters and Non-Electric models to remove Chlorine, harmful chemicals, tastes and odors. Your best options are:
- WHF-100 – Average homes
- WHF-150 – Above average
- WHF-250 – Large homes
- WHF-300 – Estate homes
If you said you want “soft water” a Safety Zone Water softener is for you!
Our water softening systems are genuine water softeners, which remove water hardness from your water. Models include:
- WC-100 – Average homes
- WC-150 – Above average
- WC-250 – Large homes
- WC-300 – Estate homes
Is a combination whole house filter and
scale inhibitor best for you?
These systems include a whole house filter, designed to remove harmful chemicals, Chlorine, taste
and odors with a scale inhibitor, which inhibits scale formation. These system are used with city
water with moderate levels of water hardness.
Our two tank systems come with individual tanks for the whole house filter and scale inhibitor.
Select SZ-SFWCF-2-100-J for average and above average homes, and SZ-SFWCF-2-150-J for large homes.
Our single tank model is recommended when space is an issue. Here, our best-selling model is SZ-SFWCD-150-J.
Both models are non-electric, and no drain is required.

For well water, testing is highly recommended. However, here is an overview of available options:

Do This Test At Home!
Remove the lid on the “clean water tank” of a toilet and see if you have slime on the side of your tank. If you have slime, most likely you will need our Home Water Treatment Plant with chemical treatment for disinfection.
